Why is this site here? Well, I have some considerable experience in the cleaning
field and have come to realise that with the great variety of appliances and machines
available, many people are frankly bewildered when it comes to choosing the right
cleaning machine for the job. No surprise, really - faced with technical specifications,
motor ratings, pad speeds, pressure and volume data and many, many more sometimes
puzzling details, is it any wonder that people can be baffled as to which choice
of machine to make?
You may well ask - why is this guy doing this? What’s in it for him? I’ll tell you.
As I said, I have a lot of experience - over fifteen years’ worth - within the janitorial
supply and cleaning equipment field. I’ve now moved on to other things so I thought
- ‘why not write a site about how to clean things?’ People were continually asking
my advice about cleaning matters, cleaning machines, cleaning tips and so on - so
here’s a distillation of all those questions. And sure, the site has adverts on it
- it has to pay for itself at least! However, it’s not just a ‘links’ site that gives
a load of headings then links to suppliers - you’ll find within these pages honest
answers to cleaning problems and methods, dos and dont’s and some tricks of the trade
as well. All free!

With the growing fashion for laminated and solid wood floors comes the problem of
maintaining their good looks. Vacuuming isn't effective except for picking up dust
and mopping sometimes leaves unsightly streaks, besides not removing marks properly.

If you have carpets, you'll realise the importance of regular cleaning - it keeps
